When we were first assigned the project, we wanted to do something in which we could take care of animals at a shelter, or anywhere. We did lots of research looking for projects interacting with animals, but dogs in particular. But, all the animal shelters we talked to would only allow people eighteen and older to volunteer. So, we had to come up with a new idea to serve people. After researching and coming up with ideas, we learned about the 5.12 foundation. After researching about it, we decided it would be something we would like to do. So, we got together at a nearby park, which is where 5.12 operates. There, we got in big assembly lines and started packing bags of food to go home with kids who didn't have any food over the weekends. We also helped unbox food items to put in huge bins, which the people in the assembly line would walk through and collect.
